About Atlas Bridge Wealth

Our Expertise
Atlas Bridge Wealth is a private client office based in Portugal, created for UK families whose financial lives span more than one country.
We help clients bring together the key decisions that often get fragmented during a move abroad: pensions, investments, cashflow, residency timing, tax coordination, estate planning, relocation considerations and long-term retirement structure.
Our role is to provide calm, joined-up planning and coordination, so that each decision is considered in the right order, with the right professional input, and with a clear view of the long-term consequences.
We are also one of the very few firms in our space to operate on a fee-based model, aligned with the standards expected in the UK private client market. That means transparent fees, a clear scope of work, and planning built around your objectives and outcomes, NOT product sales.
Where regulated solutions are appropriate, recommendations are delivered under the authorisation and supervision of our appointed regulatory partners. This ensures the right disclosures, suitability process, and client protections are in place, while we remain focused on the cross-border detail that’s often missed — making sure each decision stands up both in the UK and in Portugal/Spain.
We’re here to be the calm, joined-up bridge between your UK life and your Portuguese or Spanish life — from first conversations to confident long-term planning.

How our Private Client Office model works
Atlas Bridge Wealth acts as your client-facing private office: helping you understand the moving parts, identify the right priorities, coordinate the right professionals, and keep the overall strategy joined up.
Our role is not to replace specialist tax or legal advice. Where required, we work alongside carefully selected tax advisers, lawyers, accountants and other professionals to ensure each area is properly addressed. Through our Private Office approach, we help coordinate the wider planning picture, bring the right people together, and give clients clarity on what needs to happen, when, and why.
Where regulated investment, pension, insurance or product implementation advice is required, this is delivered through the appropriately authorised firm for the relevant jurisdiction. Where UK or Portuguese or Spanish tax/legal advice is required, this is provided by suitably qualified tax or legal professionals.
Our Services

Cross-Border Financial Planning
For UK families moving to or living in Portugal & Spain, financial planning rarely sits neatly in one country. Pensions, investments, property, tax residency, estate planning and income needs can all be affected by decisions made on either side of the border.
Our role is to help clients bring these moving parts together into one clear plan. We look at the full picture — where assets are held, where income is needed, what future lifestyle is being planned for, and what decisions need to be made before, during and after a move abroad.
The aim is to give clients clarity, structure and confidence when life, wealth and residency span more than one country.
Investment Coordination
Many clients arrive in Europe with investments spread across ISAs, general investment accounts, pensions, cash deposits, offshore bonds, managed portfolios or legacy arrangements.
These may have worked well in the UK, but may need to be reviewed in the context of Portuguese or Spanish residency.
We help clients understand how their investments are currently structured, what level of risk is being taken, what currency exposure exists, how income may be drawn, and whether existing arrangements remain suitable for long-term life in Europe.
Where regulated investment recommendations or product implementation are required, these are provided through appropriately authorised firms in the relevant jurisdiction.
Retirement and Pension Planning
UK pensions are often one of the most important assets a client has, but they need to be considered carefully once Portugal or Spain becomes part of the picture. Timing, drawdown strategy, tax treatment, currency, investment risk, spouse provision and legacy planning can all influence the right approach.
We help clients understand how their pensions fit into their wider retirement plan, including how income may be drawn, how sustainable that income may be, and how pension decisions interact with other assets such as ISAs, investment accounts, property and cash.
Where regulated pension advice or tax input is required, this is provided through appropriately authorised or suitably qualified professionals.
Wealth Structuring and Protection
Good planning is not only about growing wealth. It is also about organising it properly, protecting family members, managing risk, and ensuring that decisions made today remain suitable as life changes.
We help clients consider how their wealth is structured across pensions, investments, property, cash and business interests, and whether those arrangements support their income needs, family objectives, estate planning considerations and future flexibility.
This may include coordination around protection planning, succession, beneficiary nominations, estate considerations, liquidity, later-life planning and the practical organisation of family wealth across borders.
Relocation Planning
Moving to Portugal or Spain is not just a lifestyle decision. It can affect tax residency, pension access, investment structure, banking, property planning, estate considerations and long-term retirement income.
We help clients organise the financial and practical planning issues that sit around relocation, including what should be reviewed before leaving the UK, what needs attention during the move, and what should be addressed during the first year of European residency.
We do not provide immigration, tax, legal or property advice directly. Instead, we help clients understand what needs to be considered, introduce the right professionals where required, and keep the wider plan joined up.
Introductions to Trusted Tax, Legal and Specialist Advisers
Cross-border planning often requires more than one professional. Tax advisers, lawyers, accountants, immigration specialists, mortgage brokers, property professionals and other specialists may all be needed at different stages.
Atlas Bridge Wealth does not provide tax or legal advice. Our role is to help identify when specialist input may be required, frame the right questions, introduce suitably qualified professionals where appropriate, and ensure their guidance is considered within the wider financial plan.
This private office approach helps clients avoid fragmented advice and ensures key decisions are considered together, rather than in isolation.
Our Approach
We start with the full picture, not a product.
For UK families in Europe, the right answer rarely sits in one place. Pensions, investments, tax residency, property, family objectives, estate planning and future income all interact. Our role is to help you understand those moving parts, decide what needs attention, and coordinate the right professional input where specialist advice is required.
We believe good planning should be clear, calm and properly explained. You should understand what is being recommended, why it matters, what it costs, and how it fits into your wider life.
Our Guiding Principles
Clarity before complexity
Cross-border planning can quickly become complicated. Our role is to make the important issues clear, explain the options in plain English, and help clients understand what needs to happen, when, and why.
Planning before products
We start with the client’s wider life, not a product or platform. Pensions, investments, property, tax residency, family objectives and future income all need to be considered together before any solution is recommended or implemented.
Coordination before fragmentation
A private client relationship often involves more than one professional. We help bring together the right advisers, specialists and providers so that tax, legal, investment, pension and relocation decisions are considered as part of one joined-up plan.
Integrity before convenience
We believe advice should be transparent, properly explained and in the client’s best interests. Where specialist or regulated advice is required, we work with appropriately authorised or suitably qualified professionals rather than pretending to do everything ourselves.
Long-term relationships before transactions
We work best with clients who value an ongoing relationship, not a one-off transaction. Our focus is on helping families make confident, well-informed decisions as life, wealth and residency evolve over time.
Care before scale
We work with a limited number of clients where we believe we can add genuine value. This allows us to give each relationship the time, attention and personal care it deserves, rather than trying to be everything to everyone.
Life in Portugal or Spain, Properly Planned
For our clients, Portugal or Spain is often the beginning of an exciting new chapter: more time, more freedom, a different pace of life and a chance to enjoy what they have worked hard to build.
Our purpose is to help make sure the finances support that chapter properly.
Whether you are preparing to leave the UK, already resident in Europe, planning retirement or reconsidering how your wealth is structured, Atlas Bridge Wealth can help you understand your position and take the next steps with confidence.
